Cone spreaders

I'm looking to buy a cone seeder/fertilizer spreader this year. TSC used to carry King Cutter; now I see Cosmo. Are they by the same manufacturer? I also see some made in Italy, but they definitely look more flimsy. Who makes a good preader in the $400 to 500 range?

I bought the TSC Cosmo brand made in Italy, it works good enough for what I do, I have had for about 3 year.

Can't directly answer your question, but EU farmers use them extensively and the better models come from over there. I bought a John Deere labeled spreader made in France and imported. Ten times better than the spreaders I've seen offered here at the TSC type stores. Although a cone 3pt design it was rugged enough to have a pin hitch on the back. I bought mine used for $450 quite a few years ago. If you buy a TSC spreader, I would consider halving the rate and spreading twice to insure better coverage.
