continental post hole digger

New User
Howdy, I recently purchased a continental-belton post hole digger that is self leveling and cleaning and I'm trying to get it going (new cables, bearings, iron etc. Would anyone have a set of instructions or any experiance using one of these? Its date of manufacture is 05-1955 and I could not find a model number but the serial number is D121xx. On the casting it shows KO and C54-11. If anyone has info. please respond.

Thanks

Continental Belton post hole diggers, sprayers & other equipment were made in Belton, Texas. Now called Ag-Meier Industries still in Belton so try them at 800-446-7319 or www.ag-meier.net

If this is the one that has the digging apparatus sliding up and down two side rails , it brings back more memories then I care for. the one we had would at the slightest notion head for the top and clean out then you would pull the chain to get it back to digging again usually with somebody standing on it to get it digging in our clay soil, sold it for scrap and bought a danuser! best of luck.
