Coolant leak

I have a minneapolis moline m602 tractor with a 336 diesel engine it is pouring steam out of the valve cover vents and oil cap im loosing coolant not on the outside of the engine was wondering if it could be the head gasket or the water pump any advice would be appreciated to point me in the right direction

Head gasket and probably cracked head. Water pumps normally just leak. Sound like it has been overheated.

Quite possible if cracked or gasket.

Most of those diesel heads are cracked. It is just a question of whether or not they leak. They crack between the valves.
