Corn Planter

I purchased a supposedly Oliver 2 row corn planter at an auction this past weekend. I see no markings pointing to an oliver. In fact it was painted a light blue.
I found a couple of numbers under the seed box. They are 3AF231B and 3AF679. Can anyone tell me if it is an oliver or what make it would be? Also maybe the year it was made.

Thanks

Your 3 Af numbers are Oliver numbers. Now as for part two of your question, is it a mounted or pull type to start with.

Best guess: A model 202 or its replacement the 252 and Right at the minute I don't remember the difference, but I think the 50 series had a gear box to change the rate of seed drop and the 02 just used sprockets. Man, from 1960 when I started we sold 1 two row pull type planter. J.
