corporate tractor

In the recent Oliver-Hart Parr magazine, a article about White's corporate tractor appears in this issue. Does any of these tractor's still exist or were they destroyed.

I wondered the same thing. This is the first time I've heard of them, so I'd almost bet they were all disposed of. Chris

When I posted that question awhile back, I believe the reply was " you'll have to wait till the Nov/Dec issue to find out". It seems some prototypes do survive such as the 4-325 which is still around and I think a White 120 prototype is still around. Lets hope some of these fascinating tractors did survive.

I'd sure like to find one of those beauties myself. Especially the 4 cylinder. Would be a great replacement for the 1550-1600.

I was surprised to see how similar the setup it to the 70 series Case tractors. (1070, 1370, 1570) The grille and engine details are different, but the Cab is extremely similar. The funning thing is Changed the cab on my 1955 to a setup similar to the Case. My uncle I comitted a sin by taking the throttle and Hydraul shift to the side console. I really like the layout in our 1370 and made my 1955 with 2-105 cab the same. It is much more user friendly. If this would have became the new tractor, Oliver may still be alive today. Is it possible corprate oliver sold it to case?

I also noticed the cab and how it resembled the case tractors. I cannot say it would have saved oliver or moline but one thing is for sure, those were good tractors and I wish Agco would build something like it again. Some auto makers are bringing back former models, so why can't they. Farm equipment cost to much you know.

The Series III Whites 2-135, 2-155, 2-180 I know for sure are set up like the Case tractors. The Workhorse series I believe are very similar also. It is very handy to have the throttle, over/under, gearshift, and all the other levers near the same location.
