Those who have been separated from their cash to acquire one will tell you that it added HP they can feel. For the rest of us, who have examined the tiny little exhaust passages in the N block, we only admit to noise, which in some cases has been known to add psychological HP.(quoted from post at 18:27:05 03/23/09) Has anyone tried the crossfire dual exhaust for the N? Does it add any HP or just noise?
Zach
(quoted from post at 00:54:41 03/24/09) I bought one several years ago, love it never looked back. I cannot say it adds HP but I can attest it will pull a 2-14 in hard ground and never slow down. Joe
e!!, the only country chicks I'd probably find wouldn't have any teeth!(quoted from post at 18:47:05 03/23/09) Chicks probably dig it!
(quoted from post at 20:55:03 03/24/09) If you were to call Mr. Tom Armstrong at "N Complete", he could tell you the dyno results. I've talked with him and he seemed very helpful.
(quoted from post at 15:04:44 03/25/09) Dunk,
I thought about it also. However it would be very poor business practice to give one person false info in order to make a sale in case that person discovered that they got the "shluck" and spread the word. All in all,it's a judgement call. All I can say is that my tractor has shown a quite noticable increase in performance. I ran it both before and after under like circumstances to bring me to this conclusion. Actually I don't care for the increased noise, but I like the increase in power.
here are duals:(quoted from post at 12:53:20 03/25/09) Anybody have any pics of the dual exhaust on a tractor?
It should be clear, which are V8 engines and the other two are standard N engines, the one with mufflers & manifold from external_link, I believe I recall and the one with vertical straight pipes/same side has a split manifold with original outlet plugged & two outlets welded it.....owner said, "a real attention getter".(quoted from post at 14:58:56 03/25/09) Nice, on the first pics, is that the regular N engine? two manifolds to be true dual?
Probably should never say never, but I haven't see an original 4cyl N with one on each side. Guess you could cross over to left side with one of them and have one each side out the rear?(quoted from post at 15:23:17 03/25/09) So any dual exhaust with a pipe one each side is not an origonal N engine?
Some reference to his fellow D, Barney, I guess.(quoted from post at 16:11:08 03/25/09) Yeah, I was at a listening session with Russ Feingold over the weekend and somebody asked about that.
$385 plus shipping in last years catalog.(quoted from post at 16:23:03 03/25/09) Nice price tag on that system, would love to hear what they sound like. Might get annoying working on the tractor all day.
You want the 'feeling' and the heart rate? This will get-'er-done!(quoted from post at 16:32:09 03/25/09) Better sound good enough to give me that fuzzy feeling for that much.
5 point(quoted from post at 16:52:10 03/25/09) Seatbelts in that one? I would need something to hold on to.
For that price it should come with a Hooker....& not the headers. :lol:Better sound good enough to give me that fuzzy feeling for that much.
I'll tip one for that!(quoted from post at 17:04:10 03/25/09)For that price it should come with a Hooker....& not the headers. :lol:Better sound good enough to give me that fuzzy feeling for that much.
