Cub questions

Im working on my cub i bought last yr and got several questions. Was a battery box standard equipment on a battery start tractor? Also were tractors available with front lights but no rear light?? the tractor is a 1948 if that helps at all.

Battery boxes were standard along with the three lites. Ivs never seen one without starter and lites.
