Cub with Cab

Not from Iceland!
Nice looking cab, might be as big as the cub.

For sale locally, although I might have listed the cab for sale and said you get a free tractor with it.

I had a numbered series Cub,(184) with the full cab and a 3 point hitch. It had a mower with it that had been used a lot,and a blade that had been used too.It had a huge snowblower that looked to have had zero use.It had belonged to a prep school, and while it had done a lot of mowing they told me that most of it's time had been spent hauling workers and materials around for building maintenence.I bought it needing a clutch, and while clutches in those are pretty easy to me,that one was miserable.I really should have picked the cab off of it first.Looking at that one in the picture it looks like it may have been meant for the numbered series Cubs.Mine was built like that to fit over the flat top fenders.

Never seen a Cub with a cab. When I saw this photo, I thought the cab came off a much bigger tractor and they somehow made it fit.

I don't believe the cab on mine was made by IH.I just assumed it was made by Curtis,Sims,or somebody like that.It did conform to the tractor though, with canvas/vinyl fillers under the front under the windshield and in the rear over the 3 point hitch. The tractor had been painted a tan or sand color when it was new.All their equipment was painted that way. They didn't want any garish yellows, reds, greens, etc clashing with all those old stone and brick buildings.

What are they, a 9.5 24? That's what's on the front of my front wheel assist loader tractor.
What's that? A 4wd tractor with a FEL? Or is it an unusual design seldom seen? I noticed some Fords and JDs with front wheels the same size as the rears. Looks like a good "plowing" arrangement for good ground contact, but for getting implements hooked up it's a bummer....I have one with medium diameter fronts and its harder to get connected as compared to my little Fords with 6:50/16s.

I don't know about other makes, but the JD's I worked on had what they called power assist. Those were hydraulic, not mechanical.Mechanical made them 4WD. Hydraulic assist was popular on a lot of the 4020's in my area.
