Cummins conversion?

A friend of mine who owns a dealership has put the 5.9 in a Deere 4020. One big issue was mounting and driveing the Deere hyd pump, and the fact that the Deere block is a major part of the tractors frame. It's not an easy task.

Does anybody know if a 5.9L cummins can be transplanted into say a 3020 or 4020 John Deere? Would like to build a John Deere hot farm tractor with a cummins motor. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks

Why would you want to put a 5.9 cummins in a 4020? There are better options with other deere motors.

gonna be difficult due to the structure of the block and if you are using a loader it will crack the block; these are the reasons behind agco and mcCormick going back to the cast tub, if you are intent on this project hunt down a 6.7 motor more structurally sound for use as a frame

Around here a hot farm has to have a factory block or factory replacement block. There is a Case in my area running a 5.9 but he doesn't do any better than anyone else really.
