Custom planting combining rates?

Does anyone know what the current rate to charge for custom planting per acre and custom combining per acre goes for today? I have a gentleman that would like me to go in and plant his corn and then shell it and haul it to the elevator. I have hauled his grain in the past and charged him .20 a bu. for that. The last corn I shelled for someone was seven years ago and charged $20.00 per acre. Don't know what todays rates are today.

Don't know where you're located, but most Universities in agricultural areas put out a custom rate charge each year, or they use to.

Just got this in a farm mag....Iowa Farm Custom Rates for 2014...
planter w/ attachments...19.25/ac
w/o..............17.85/ac
no-til...........19.35/ac
Corn combine.............34.15/ac
w/ chopper head..........40.05/ac
w/ grain cart & truck....47.65/ac
Hauling..up to 5 mi......11 cents/bu
5-25 mi..................17.5 cents/bu

I find published rates are usually a bit higher than local history.

Here is the standard I go by. The raw data is a survey that goes out to a bunch of farmers (I get one) every year and then they crunch the numbers and put this out every year.

Averages for planting run in the $18 to $22 per acre depending on attachments. Range runs from $10 to $30 per acre.

Looks like $20 for combining is pretty low though.
