Cutting front tires

Will anybody share at what angle they are cuttig the front tires? Does it matter if you have a narrow front or a wide front? Are you cutting all ribs or just the center one? Just asking for the sake of curiosity.

AO, everyone has their own reasons for cutting the fronts. Now, if we shared those reasons, others would gain the same advantage. You'll have to figure this one out for yourself.

You can corner faster with cut fronts, especially NFE

I cut mine so the tire is a narrow as possible to cut down on friction. Just think like a Soap Box Derby car

I see no reason to cut the front tires, if you are weighted right, your front times shouldn't be doing much. They should be a inch or 2 off the ground.

that ranks right up there with letting some air out of your tires to make weight lol air is measured in pounds the only advantage i see with the front tires is put smaller diameter ones on so it changes your center of gravity

No, because he refers to narrow or wide front and all ribs or just the center rib. This is funniest darn thing I"ve seen on here in a while. This ranks right up there with folks thinking that small tires on the front that give your tractor an extreme "front-down" rake will make it pull better!

I'm pretty sure you can only "top cut" the front tires. Not sure if the rules will let you full cut them.

wouldnt worry about front tires for them . some amount of rake does help .there are some running to much rake. hitch not parallel to ground.

That's the key. Some think it helps to run a little 10 inch tire on the front. They just don't understand the physics.

why not just run a lot of air so tires sets on middle rib.

How about using a co2/nitrogen mix since it is heavier than air, less weight needed for the front end?

DONT PUT WEIGHT ON THE NOSE, AND PULL REALLY HEAVY CLASS. Tires will never touch the ground, therfore it does not matter what you have done.

you cut them to save weight. grind all 3 ribs to cords save 5lb.

Use Helium! Better yet, use hot air. It's light and plentiful around here. Think Digger would cut my 4.00-15 tires? Heehee.
