Cyclone Pre Cleaner 8N

Found one under the Christmas Tree this morning, I believe it was an eBay find.... It appears original, with a cup-like bail bottom, and it came with a replacement jar in a box with the rib around the middle. The rim of the cup sortakinda fits the bottom radius of the jar, but doesn't seem to retain it well. The jar bottom does NOT fit to the bottom of the cup, like the unit with the John Deere toy in it on John Smith's accessories page. Any suggestions to make this assembly more secure? If you were to bump it, the bail snaps aside and drops the jar. I'm thinking of turning a wood or plastic plug to fit into the space under the jar. Did you get the rubber seal for the top of the jar? The seal keeps the jar tight on the precleaner. The Jar doesn't fit into the bail cup. There are two styles of bails,one is a cup and one is flat.

mine is flat on bottom, has a wedge shaped piece of wood in there, has been that way for years, also has a John Deere 60 toy tractor in the jar.
