d 17 diesel

My uncle has a 1950 D17 diesel .Looking for another buda engine or some thing compatable .Old girl has been rebuilt too many times .Unfixxable .Any resourse would be appriciated.Thanks

D-17's, buda 230's, WD 45's, DD graders, and 262 diesel power units will all bolt up, if you want to keep it diesel. if you want to convert to gas, all of the above, in gas +WD's and WC's.

The first D17 was built in 1957.
What makes the old engine unfixable?

Sorry im wrong about the date of manufacture.must be thinking about the wd45 .Not exactly sure why its unrebuildable. But i know he has rebuilt it before .And has several allis chalmers tractors .two 190 xts one d17 gas a g .He has rebuilt them all over the years .My dad rebuilt the d17 diesel last time .I believe in 1976 .
