D Dual Exhaust

Putting Duals on my 37 D, ordered my manifold from Detweilers along with some fenders supposed to be here tomorrow. My question is. Is the manifold one solid casting or are the exhaust intake runners three seperate pieces that can be bolted on seperately. I got my old one off by cutting the studs then welding nuts to them once the manifold was out of the way. Just restored the tractor didnt want to take radiator and fan shaft back off.

Would you happen to know if it comes with the gaskets I was assuming for $265 bucks it would.

I saw a D at Rantoul about 3 years ago that had duals. Earl Seamands said the pipes were far enough away from the hood as not to discolor the paint from the heat. Don't know where the manifold came from.

I built my own stacks, used two old cast factory elbows, put 4" tubing about 36" long on the outside and 3 " about 18" long inside. Made a straight double wall stack so it should not affect my paint at all. Painted it all with VHT ceramic black paint. You can buy chrome double wall stacks for the dual set-ups but they would have looked gaudy on a unstyled tractor besides being $275.00 X 2

Hope you have better luck with your 3 piece set than I did. The Center piece(for the carb) would not fit until quite a bit of metal was ground off the side of it and the side of the left exhaust piece. Pretty sure I ended up making them too thin. If I had it to do again I would have added a spacer at the head connection, because now they fit at the head but the carb end is too low by 1/4" If I had it to do again, I should have returned the set.
