D10 gas tank

Ok fellas, new to this post. Im usually over on the 8n side but my father in law has just purchased a d10, not sure of model, but right off the get go we need a gas tank. can yall point me in the right direction? Thanks

I checked looked at the usual suppliers, and none of them have one, so your next bet is salvage yards, or hope for one to appear on ebay.

I assume you mean not sure of year as you give the model.
SN is on at frount of torque tube on left side. The link gives the year breakdown.

If you find a tank in a salvage yard, it will be in the $250- $300 range and the tank will not be perfect. Unless the tank is really bad, it can be repaired, cleaned and sealed and you will not have any problems with it.

I have one, here in MD, Want $ 100 + shipping, but I warn you mine has about 1" of hard tar crud, in the bottom of the tank, don't know how you'd get it out! Email is open

Checked on the tank I have, pretty uniform surface rust, but no extry holes, has the mounting bracket with it. It will of course need to be cleaned, blasted, and the inside coated. Cap not there, non working gauge there, good news is that there isn't anything like the tar I thought was in the bottom, just rusty and dirty. Lip of cap shows wear, I'd say 4-5000 hour type wear!
