d19 cockshutt 50

I think the bolt pattern is different but can't remember, I may be wrong. The gas head off a D-19 is flat though. If you could put it on you may run into compression and piston clearance problems right off the bat. The diesel head actually has combustion chambers in it.

I used to pull aganst a Cockshutt 40 that had a d19 engine. So I know it will go with some switching parts from your 50. I put a 3400 Herculese in my 40.

I did this about 10 years ago, best I remember I used a 570 rear engine plate and flywheel, you have to make a few little changes such as throttle and radiator hookups, elongate holes in frame for front motor mounts. The exhaust exits out the left side, I made up a pipe that crossed over under the hood and up through the original hole.
