I'm looking at buying a Cat D3C dozer serial#1PJ00690 with a six way blade and around 2000hrs and was wondering if anyone could tell me what the year model it is?And also about what it would be worth in good cond.? Thanks For The Help!

Forgot to add price:
$15-20K price range depending on condition. 2000Hrs. is low. I paid $15000 this fal for a 1988 D3C w/3440 Hrs and 65% undercarriage. Good Luck.

I purchased a D3C a few years back with 2500 hours on it, was able to varify the low hours it worked out to around under 200 hours per year it was in storage for several years. Make sure you can varify the hours on the machine with repair records etc. you are communicating that the machine was on average only used under 100 hours per year, give it a second thought and look further into it, may have many many more hours on it. Also are the rollers in contact with the track rails, if not how much distance between the rails and the rollers? Look at machine and tracks on the ground, the rollers should not be touching the rail bushings, if they are time for new rails etc. A new undercarraige, rollers and rails, sprockets, without idler rebuild will cost from CAT dealer over 9,000 dollars with tax then labor to install.
Just my two cents worth, if the machine is OK buy it, at those hours and 15 grand price it is a good buy, I fine mine to be a powerful machine, in todays market they are giving the machines away, good for people purchasing bad for people selling.
