D4 serial number

Good Morning
Found an old? what I think is a D4 Cat that may come up for sale.
Serial Number is 40A1892, but I can't find any information about a Cat with this type of serial number. I did a Google search and saw a lot of D4s but no luck with serial numbers.
Can anyone here enlighten me?

Regards
Robert

The Caterpillar D4C crawler tractor was introduced in 1959 in the USA. Production began in France a year later. Standard tractors were manufactured in the USA only, with a 39A and 54A serial number prefix.

LGP tractors were manufactured in the USA, with a 24A and 40A prefix, and in France, with a 55A and 69A prefix. The 24A and 69A only have 63 FWHP.

Production of 54A and 55A ended in 1962, 40A and 69A ended in 1963, 24A ended in 1964, and 39A ended in 1966.

Thanks for the reply.
