i have a cat d6c 76a 5700 needing a hydraulic pump the tag is gone of tank cleaned it off to check for any markings but nothing is there it does have tilt thanks

Check with J.R Hydraulics Phone 315 715 4616.Got a repair kit for ours. Might be a picture would help. Explain to Jerry Shute and describe the pump. If any one would know, I would bet he would. Hope this helps LOU

Looks like you have three choices.
The 39G1-up control serial numbers use a pump assy #4J9858(second type) or #4J2202(first type)

The 44G1-up control serial numbers use a pump assy #4J9458.

All are 54 gpm pumps

If it's a vane pump just take the cartridge in to any local hyd shop and get an exch. Look at yours and the one you get closely to make sure the new one is set up for the same direction of rotation as your old one. Then clean out tank good so new pump lasts.

With the high serial number 76A5700 out of 6061 at end of production your hydraulic control unit is probably the 44G1-up series and uses the later pump.
This one does have a cartridge kit #4K1944 & seal kit #4J9279. The other pumps are individual parts only.

thanks for the help. mine is leaking oil badly looks like its coming out of a weep hole in bottom of pump up next to where it bolts up

If you look at the discharge end of the later pump it is sort of square and flat. The earlier end housings have a taper to them from top (discharge) to bottom. That is if you can believe the parts manual. The real difference is when you take it apart. The early pumps have coil springs (30 of them) that load the vanes.

The inboard seal is probably shot and leaking.
