Well okay, but at least the big guy got out there at the crack of dawn and tied down that ground that was trying it's darnedest to blow away. :>)

Hi Allan;
Interested in the style of tines on your cultivator. Obviously C shaped. Are the spring loaded with springs on the frame, or are they like a pig-tail to allow them to "give" if they hit a rock?
I notice some of your posts are in the early hours of the morning, and you often say you are in the field very early - dont you need sleep?
Always facinated to read & see about what your farming type is over there.

The stack mover is a 13x24 Lahman, made back in the 70's in Hecla, South Dakota. It has hydraulic lift and chain driven rails, we have a 13x28 and haul 20 bales, stack bottom 4 long 3 wide and the rest on top. We put another set of axles under it so it has eight wheels to keep DOT off our tail. We have to cable the stacks before we load but other wise they work well and still are many in this area, most guys haul 26 bales and make the bottom row 5 long.

Hi Dave,

It's not a cultivator; just an old spring tooth harrow equipped with diamond points that I use to rough up summer fallow after a hard rain.

I like it because I can really cover the acres in a hurry, especially if it starts to blow.

Dunno 'bout the rock as I don't have any.

Yep,

The bed tilts; loads and unloads. Hydraulic reversable chain drive.

I don't crowd it as it is old like me. The most I've ever moved is 11 bales at a time.
