data logger for the basics?

What device (brand, cost, etc) is available for BASIC data logging of a gasoline engine for pulling? I think I only want rpm, temps, etc. Maybe ground speed using a little gps puck? Again, this is for data logging purposes only. Immediate downloading is necessary.

I did a search on this site, but came up with nothing.

Talk with a good speed shop, that has an inhouse dyno, most today have some sort of computer hooked up to monitor and record and play back data as they tune them in. Id imagine some sort of portable version is available by now. If you built a rpm seonsor to monitor right and left axle rpm differences during a run, you would be shocked to see the staggering differences.

Check RPM performance. I run one of their dataloggers on my super Stock. Nice piece that is reasonablly priced ad easy to use.

it looks like the RPM Performance outfit might do the job. I wonder if one can attach some gps speed device to check relationship of g.s./rpm/axle speed differential etc? Any experience w/the gps?

we have a datalogger from fair vally performance on a super farm and dennis has been good to work with. it was on the tractor when we got it. 608-643-0200 we check 7 exhaust temps 4 psi and rpm it has more ports to do other stuff but we dont use them
