Dating my Case SC

Would anyone know of a way to date a Case SC tractor other then by the obvious. The serial tag is long gone from the dash. Any help would be much appreciated, thanks.

The serial number should be stamped on the rear engine flange on the left side, I believe.(If you can't find it on that side, look on the other) Subtract 4 from the first 2 digits and that will give you your year model. If I'm wrong, someone please correct me.

The first two, subtract 4 works until the serial number switch to the 60 and 80 series serial numbers.

I think the 60 and 80 numbers were 1953 and 1954 models.

60 #'s were Rock Island production, 80 #'s were Racine

Were they all foot-clutch models?

Hand clutch, or foot clutch? Foot clutch models were only in '53 and '54, I believe.

SC and DC model tags were on lower left corner of the dash.

You are absolutely correct, I found it on the left side flange. Turns out I have an SC 1945. Now the fun begins, thanks for the info.
