DC brakes

Hello I was wondering if there were different styles of disc brakes for DC's? My dad has a '41 with missing brake parts so I pulled the brakes off of a '49 parts tractor that I had and although they look about the same he thought that the backing plate was different? How many version were out there and what years should interchange with '41. My '40 has band brakes. Thanks, Mike S

Yes, there are several differnt disc brakes. I don't have my parts book handy as my computer at home has died. However, I know that several differnt brakes setups exist.

Mike if you go to cnh.com and go to Case IH web site for ag. equipment you can do into a parts manual for your DC tractor. That way you can see the differences.
