Hi Group, Well I neglected to block the clutch pedal last fall, to relieve the pressure. Of course, this spring the clutch is stuck. Anyone know a trick to break this loose. I do not have another tractor to give it a pull. Thanks, C Kain

Thanks, thats one idea.. Think I will go for asking my neighbor, 1/2 mi down the road. To come by and give me a short tow.

My DC clutch stick every time. I just put it in gear, push the clutch, and hit the starter. Breaks loose every time. Mine is a foot clutch model.

you have a dirty clutch , or you have too much lucas do gooder in the engine ,lol.. pour a qt of atf in the hand hole cover ,MAKE SURE YOU HAVE A WOPRKIN KILL SWITCH , blok the clutch , start it in 1st gear ,and go to a open area field , and drive around , you can glide shift by matching speed with gears ,should not take too long too long to have a workin clutch , the atf will clean the clutch and motor if you use the dc ONLY for lite work ,, a few weeks lite work wont hurt imho ,,,.then change out all oils and flush the clutch assembly with diesel fuel ,,..

When I first got my DC with foot clutch, the clutch would stick if the tractor sat a few days. I finally got tired of putting it in forth and hitting the starter switch of bread it loose.

Upon splitting the tractor in search of the problem, I found the foot clutch can trap dirt in a way that causes drag between the clutch disc and the flywheel. There is RADIAL clearance between the OD of the disc and the flywheel. This RADIAL clearance gap had filled with crud and was binding up the clutch disc on its OD. I dug out the crud in the RADIAL gap and the problem went away.
