Deere 110 Compact backhoe/loder experiences?

This is not a Yesterday's tractor but the local rental company has one that caught my eye. They are working me up a price to buy it.
The backhoe boom and castings looked very heavy and well built for a small machine. Much better than PTO backhoes.
Does anybody have any experience with this machine? Good/not so good points?
Thanks.

I almost bought one a few years back, but found my 4310 package instead which was enough for my needs.

I have heard only good things about the 110's, but that said, post rental units are notorious for being abused, and parts for any of the CUT's tend to produce sticker shock.

I rented one once for 3 days. Dug underground drain s from my gutters. Dug out several 2 foot diameter oak stumps 4 gate posts. Moved 2 dump loads of dirt. It was around 50 hp. U loved it. Wish I could have kept it!

I have one I bought when they first came out in 2002. GREAT machine! I have not had an ounce of trouble with it. Closing in on 1500 hrs. Really wish Deere hadn't discontinued them in 2011. Only thing to remember is "nothing parties like a rental"

Thanks folks, I'll look around before I jump on the one from the rental company. I don't even have a price from them yet anyway. Shopping around the internet (looking at pictures only) seems like low hour machines are priced in the high $20k range and high hour machines the low $20k range.
Be intseresing to see some sell at auctions. Looks like there are a lot of these machines around.
Thanks again.

I sold several of them. They are great little machines. The mini excavators have killed them. Most construction people already have a large skid steer so they just by a mini excavator.

The hoe on the JD 110 was made by Brad-Co. I never have seen one broken. I would not rule out the rental yard one if the hours and price are in the right place.

I have been watching for one but it seems you can buy a full size back hoe for what the JD 110s are going for.
