Did deere ever make rear blades for the 4020 era tractors? I know frontier makes em now (light blades)and I have a 6 footer for my 790 that is ok. The IH fast hitch blades have much heavier steel in the blade area and must have been available in the 60s? I am looking for an 8 to 9 foot IH blade to weld up into a 3 point for my 4020. I had an 8 foot blade that was just too light and I pranged it. Trying to fix that one I would be better of just getting a heavier blade. I have not seen any old deere blades in my perusings over the last 5 years.

I'm not sure how big a 4020 is, but I was going through some stuff the other day and found a manual for a '65' rear blade, just dug it out again. Needs 70 hp min., weighs 507 lbs., comes in 7' or 8' and is a cat 2. HTH

Saw some factory fliers with a heavy blade on a 70 several years back so I guess they have been around since the 50's. Have what looks to be the same style blade and have used for years on a 3020, but not sure of the model number. Pretty good guess that they carried over into the 60's or longer as it is all manual adjust. Several popular heavy duty blades are now hydraulic adjust now for angle and pitch.

Nylon,

I have a John Deere Model 95 blade that I bought for my 3010.

It is a 9 footer and is very heavy duty. It is a good match. I have found the 95 listed in Deere publications for the New Gen tractors.

My brother has a JD model 115 that I have used behind my 4020 and it is very heavy duty. I think it is 8'. It is a manual shift/tilt but works very well. I have seen some similiar models at farm auctions.

A JD 115 blade is nice on a 4020. We have one on ours. They also made a 155 really HD blade for even bigger models.
Kinda hard to find for sale though.
