Hi guys-first I want to THANK all of you for your advice on the problem of my Allis G.I could not get numbere 4 piston to work and I tried every thing.I found to night the new manifold I ordered
was plugged in the exhaust port on number 4.I took it off and blew air in all the ports to make sure they were all open and sure enough number 4 was casted poured shut.I had to do some drilling and welding but I got it opened and back on the tractor and it runs like a top.The manifold was made in China or Japan. My advice guys is to check new parts out before installation. If I would have it sure would have saved me alot of grive and time.Again Thanks every one.Mike

Probably China, they seldom get anything right. They are capable of making decent products, but most importers just shop for the lowest price.. and get the lowest quality...

In the nuclear industry we are supposed to check every new & rebuilt part. You would be surprised how many brand new parts are duds.

WOW!!, How long did it take you to find the problem? Who'd guessed.

I have had a few ignition parts defective from the factory, that is all.

I did buy some $10.00 fromt rotors from China for my honda civic. that was 4 years ago. They are holding up fine, I was doing a qualitity control test, BTW the OEM rotors were warped after 76K miles///sl

Last summer I put an exhaust manifold on my dads 3020. I ordered one from a & i, after the third one I finaly found one that fit. One of them was about 1/2 inch off on the holes! I would have liked to use a deere one but they are just to darn much. BC

Defective new parts are no surprise to me. I go thru a lot of brakes on my mail route, at any given time I have 3 sets on the shelf. I would guess the failure rate in the first week of mailroute at about 10 percent. After that they are OK until they wear out. Always the same failure, regardless of where I got them. It is usually on a Monday, when I have the weekend mail along with a big fat boxholder everybody gets and the car is honestly overloaded. What happens is the pad shucks right off the backing. Happens with any grade I use. Not enough glue to stand the heat or riveted too loose to stand the extreme braking. Also had a tractor tire tube I ordered from an EBAY seller that took over a week to get to me, when I received and installed it leaked like a sieve. Never did find all the leaks, patched 4 and still leaking. At that time I got the clue tube pure junk. Bought one locally, no problem with it at all. Junk one was Korea made, local one USA. Finally got replacement tube from internet seller, think I will air it up and see if it holds air better than the one they sent me before. If it does will keep in case I need it, otherwise just going to pitch it. Oh, regarding the brakes, I can't even guess where they are made. I have one set here that does say Hecho En E U A, which I do think means made in USA, the rest say distributed in USA. We need to take our country back, the bad part is even a lot of the USA made is by illegal workers.
