Diesel leak-986

I have an International 986 that started leaking diesel. Just today, first, it was a little, now it’s a fast drip.
I think it’s coming out of the threads where the primer pump screws into the engine, on the left side. When I turned it off, I saw bubbles there.
Is there a thread sealant for the threads of the primer pump? (What’s it called?)

Or do you think I need to replace the finger/primer pump?

What do you think?

Hand primer seals are leaking. those always get replaced on pumps I get in for repair. You could PROBABLY slow it down by replacing the top O ring just under the primer knob, and make sure the wingnut is tight. I have a 1086 pump in now for leaks repair and governor trouble.

i had the same problem on my case 1570, got a new one. been a while but was not to bad on cost.
The Bosch hand primers cost MUCH less than the Ambac primer does. The Ambac has replaceable seals so it can be repaired, as they come in the pump gasket/seal kit. The EARLY Bosch primer has been replaced with a spring-loaded primer used now which is easy to remove/replace.
