Distributor Cap for 1945 Case SC

[Joe Frederick]

Could anyone give me guidance on finding a distributor cap for my 1945 Case SC. Some call it a magneto, but whatever the name could someone give me direction on finding a replacement.

CaseIH should be able to get one, and many others, probably this site also. The magneto and distributer caps are not the same, so you need to know which you have.

New caps ARE available for WICO and FAIRBANKS-
Morse Magnetos. You must know the make and
model number of the Magneto. What you need may
be available in this, Yesterdays Tractors, site.
Distributer caps are still available for Delco
and Autolite/Prestolite distributers, but again,
you need the make and model #s from the nameplate.
If you"re so new to this that you don"t know if
you have a distributer or Magneto--first you
should purchase an owners manual and parts manual.
