Distributor Maker

On my 300 I have a 353896R1 distributor. Who made this distributor? I did a search for that number and I came up with everything but the maker.

Info as per Internet:

The 353896R1 is an ignition distributor rotor manufactured originally by International Harvester (IH) for their vintage tractors (often updated to the replacement part number 353896R91). [1, 2, 3]
Today, this replacement part is manufactured by several aftermarket agricultural brands for models like the Farmall Cub, H, M, and Super series. [1, 2, 3]
Common manufacturers making aftermarket replacements today include:
  • A&I Products
  • Case IH (the successor to International Harvester)
  • Worthington Ag Parts
  • Bates Corp [1, 2, 3, 4, 5]
If you need to replace or find a specific rotor for your machine, would you like me to help you find it at a retailer like Yesterday's Tractor Co. or Messicks? Let me know the exact model and year of your tractor to narrow it down!

IH distributors have a code on circle that clamps hold it to front housing to ID use. Can't see them very good in picture. They ID year made and timing advance info that was used inside body.

Mine's a 1955. When I went to this sites parts they asked what brand distributor I had for the points and condenser set.

I have reasons to believe ......353898R1 is the housing #, and the same housing is used on lots of IH......with different internal parts...

I checked into the search option on this forum "YT"...thus the information.
