Fascinating...while the Divco of milk/delivery truck fame was originally in Detroit, it was later moved to Delaware, OH, and neither the Divco club site (divco.org) history or Mroz" truck book mention any other vehicles or production, nor was the company ever named "Divco Corporation". While my Industrial and Garden Tractor etc sources are very limited (actually, all my sources are very limited, but that matches my resources, and some say also my mental capacity) nothing mentions any Divco (other than the trucks).
Assuming the whole thing is not someone"s labor-of-love self-made rig, which seems far-fetched (the pix still come thru a little fuzzy; the space for the prod or serial # on the tag looks curiously written (etched?) rather than the usual stamped) there have to be others somewhere, altho a quick Google didn"t turn anything up.

Oops--skimmed the Divco truck history too fast: it was known as Divco Corp 1944-56, so there could be some kind of a connection during that time--maybe something built internally for company use but not sold outside the company??

That could be a homebuilt unit using a milk truck engine. I found another post on this site where the fellow had a Divco truck with an engine stamped "Super 4162" just like the tag shown here.

For what it is worth, the Farm I grew up on was "Ottawa Guernsey Farm" Home of "Dayton Dairy" Ottawa ILL. and we had about 6 of the "Divco" Milk Delivery Trucks in the Fleet. I was young and do not know where the Trucks were purchased,probably Joliet or Chicago Dealer. I remember the Drivers could drive them standing up but not much else except they had a distinct aroma in the Summer time. As a Teen Ager I was a once in a while Helper on the different Routes until I got old enough to work in the Dairy Plant.

Divco stood for Deroit Industrial Vehicle Co.A while back I came across a Continental (located in Muskegon Mi. ) F162 engine that had DIVCO cast in the head . Note that previous plate marking of 4-162..pretty clear to me !!

Ahhh, looking for a mystery and jumping to conclusions--I assumed the Divco Corp tag was on the machine, not the engine. If actually on the engine, it's the Cont F4162 4cyl, as Brent found, (F162 in Ind/Ag use and PF162 in Power Units) and listed in some Divco listings as the F4-162.
Divco trucks used Cont'ls exclusively for many years, and Cont'l owned Divco from 32 to 36 or so, and remained Divco's almost exclusive engine supplier up into the late 40s or so , which would explain the "Divco" cast into a cyl head that Dale recalls. If there's no makers tag on the machine, it looks like Brent called it: a neat little homemade with a Divco truck engine. Looks like a nice job, though.
