DLTX 53 what size drill bits to use

Are these metric or US standard? What is the Standard size or is it not close? What length should i get? Thanks alot

These are standard number drill sizes. #40 is 0.098 in/2.489 mm and #53 is .0595 in/1.511 mm. Should be pretty common. If "close enough" is good enough, 3/32 (0.093) and 3/64 (0.46 in) appear to be in the ball park diameter-wise. I expect that jobber length would suffice and they'll be a buck or three by the each. Harbor Freight sells a 60 Piece Titanium Nitride Coated Numbered Drill Bit Set (sizes 1 to 60) for $20.
 
And I'll bet the Harbor Freight ones are most likely from China, and they make drill bits out of the same thing we make licorice from. The last thing you want is to break a soft drill off in your port :^(
 
These are wire gauge drill bits, 6 in. long,turn them only with your fingers. Those 2 will get you going,but to do it right,I think there are about 7 more sizes you will need to get them all clean if you do it right,and that will change by 2 or 3 different ones depending on the carb no. Good luck
