(quoted from post at 20:24:53 01/22/11) Do you think that adding RPM's will make that much HP diffrence? I can see a little but not that much gain. I seen were you were starting to make G blocks what about A blocks?
XL, yes, as long as it can be fed and stay together, RPM's will make a huge difference. It's getting it's own cylinder head (basically billet), a large manifold, radical cam and a billet 3 main crank. Flywheel, I'm up in the air on, most likely just cover the stock one good. Horsepower is a function of how many BTU's you can run thru it.
You can ROUGH compare engines by taking RPM*Cubes/7500, asssuming it's got good compression, cam, timing.. It's real rough, but at least gets you in the ballpark.
The first G blocks should be done within 2-4 weeks.
The A blocks are coming at some point, but I've got to recover some tooling money first. I can tell you this, a Head is 10 times the work of a block to get right.
E-mail me off line, this post pretty much got hijacked...
To the original poster, Jesse Allen in TN has a mean 60, I think he runs it quite a few RPM's.
