double disc plow WTB

anyone know of a 3 pt hitch double disc plow for sale in or around western KY.

If you know of one for sale I would appreciate the heads up.

I used my 3-12" plows to break my truck patch this fall. I had such a problem with trash collecting between coulters and plow beams that

I said I am going to try something different.

A disc plow might work and cut on through the trash.

I dont know what size moldboard plow you have, but you'll notice that later model plows had taller standards as well as having a longer plow to allow for more clearance for each bottom. You may want to find a later model plow with more clearance.

You can also remove the coulters, especially if you are plowing ground that was plowed last year. Coulters are meant for cutting sod. I dont think you'll see nearly as much clogging without the coulters.

I would say you will see more clogging, never take coulters off, plows are not made to work that way. Learn how to properly adjust them.
