Driveway weed spray difficulties

I previously made a reply- but what I re-read in my post is gibberish. So, let me try again. You need to spray Pramitol. It has to be sprayed before a soaking rain. It will kill existing weeds and then soaks into the earth and prevents regrowth/new growth. HOWEVER- my results are about 50/50. It does not last the entire summer for me, but it is better than spraying round up/glysophate every week or 2. You are generally killing existing weeds and grass, but the new growth is from seeds. ALWAYS spray to kill before the undesired plant goes to seed. These seeds seem to last forever, so it's an uphill battle. Pramitol is a little tricky to use, you may want to consult with your extension agent in your county. Read the label carefully-it seems like a heavy concentration to me, but it can be effective. Mark.
I have some Pramitol. How much do you put in a gallon sprayer? Thanks. I'd probably add some 24d, glyphosate, and surfactant for extra measure.

I don't remember the mix rate-would have to read the label. It's so strong you don't need the other sprays. But a gallon won't go very far at all. You need to read the square footage covered in the label. Mark.

sprayed the driveway a couple months ago with roundup and a broadleaf spray combined with both mixed on the heavy side of the instructions. had a good kill and since i did it with a hand sprayer I naturally missed a few spots so a couple weeks later sprayed what i missed.

no one lives there and the light traffic from when we are there and the few AirBnB guests we have its not enough to keep the grass at bay. and grandma before she went to the nursing home wasn't driving and when she did it wasn't often so since grandpa stopped farming the grass/weeds had really taken over the drives. Not going to do anything with the drives up to the barn (hay mow and milk house) as we don't need to worry about those. they do brown up when it gets really dry.

now it almost looks like i Never sprayed it. we've had good grass weather (warm and rainy) but this seems a bit odd. the fields still look brown from their round up application (scorched earth)

trying to get a good kill so i can scrap the sod off and lay some new stone.

any suggestions on what went wrong? both were post mix concentrate and neither were very old. it was not "farm supply" roundup.

thanks.
I think your problem might be the dirt between the rocks. You till your garden and the weeds come back right away.
The only sure way to keep weeds out of the driveway is to put down 6 inches of concrete. I did that 20 years ago and no weeds.
I spray gravel driveways and the weeds come back and the marestail doesn't fully die.
Good luck. My Weeds laugh at me 😄

sprayed some Ortho ground clear Friday as someone suggested.

will see how it does and maybe get the top scraped off and get some new stones in place.
