Drunken Drive Tires

Well, I made my decision. A friend gave me 10 gallons of alcohol. Now I need to know how much to put in each tire. The chart says I need 27 gallons for each tire. I wonder what % water/alcohol?

if you split it and did 5gmethanol/22g water in eact tire that would be a 40% concentration of m/w freeze solid point is going to be drop considerably..

my methanol chart shows that a 40% concentration by volume is close to -27f freeze protection.

35% is -15

45% is -40

Cut 1 part to 10 parts of 'dat BLUE STUFF that is pretty cheap at the GAS&Go places.

Good for anti-ice as well as de-ice. Wings, glass, everything.

Heat the mixture and spray outta high press. washer is equipment sat outside during snow accumulations or freezing RAINS.

I in live Pa. and it seldom gets down to single digits and when it does we don't stay there long. Maybe over night. Do you think I really need that much.

10% of 27 gal.=2.7
20% of 27 gal.=5.4
30% of 27 gal.=8.1
I only 10 gal. to start with.

type.. should be closer to 22.7% which will be single digits above 0.. ie.. about 5' solid freeze protection

ie, 5g methanol plus 22g water = 27g = 22.7% concentration.

I love these small screens. I kicked over to calculator earlier and guess I couldn't even read the darn screen/!!! or punched the wrong number.. sorry.

The gizmo I'm on is a Compaq laptop, about a gillion times faster etc. than the old unit. Can't stand the keybourd and 'mouse' scratchy pad , so, got a wireless mouse and keyboard - total cost under $400 CDN. I'm sure you can get for less down there. Finally got in to this century with a 'stick' internet connection - still waiting for actual monthy cost (old dial-up was $26 per. mo.- I'm guessing about $40 for the new setup--don't care !! Faster is better, however, I now have MORE useless time on my hands!

i actually have dsl/wifi/broadband, and by the time i bundled it with tv and phone, and got rid of my old 2nd phone line and dial in account.. i was at about the same money. wife also has an internet capable handheld device ( iphone ).. so we are both mobile...
