dual spacing 4955

Can a 4955 with 18.4 - 42's be set to go down 20" rows. I know you can't drive an 18 inch wide tire down a 20" row. But if spaced correctly, I'm sure the stalks would be easier on the tires in the fall. What about the front end on an mfwd? How much adjustment can be done to the front?
Thanks

We have a 4850 and 30 inch would be the minimum for the tires to center in the row. They have the same frame so i would think that 30 inches is it. The front tires have to have room to turn and oscillate at the same time.

My 4955 is set on 40 inch rows for cotton then I also pull a DB 60 on 20 inch spacing for beans and milo and it works great.

Used to run a 7800 with 18.4 42 set on 80" centers in 20 inch rows. Loved that system. Steered well, rode well. When spraying soybeans half of the time it left no tracks, the rest of the time we would loose a bit if a row here and there.
