e 85 doesnt give you good fuel mileage is a true statement . e 85 does offer some advantages to higher compression ratios seeing that ethanol cools the cylinders lowering detanation somewhat . turbo tunners like it alot.

Mix it with your pump gas, but you dont need the octane. try a 75/25 mix, 3 quarts of gas to 1 quart of E85. it will pick up a little more torque. Chad

E-85 takes about 20% more fuel to get the same energy, so you would need to rejet. It's big advantages are cooling of the intake charge and anti-knock. At 110 PSI you may pick up a little torque but it really won't do much.

Now if you has 10.5 CR (150PSI) you could ruun E85 and move the timing up...

Ricky,What are you trying to run E-85 in? Only new fuel flexible vehicles can run this. We sell both, but E-85 is a real cleaning agent. Be prepared to have problems with stopped up filters. Also, you will get about 15-20% less fuel economy. Most stations are already using E-10 in place of unleaded. In fact, 80% of all product available now is being blended with 10% ethanol. We have had very few problems with E-10 other than more frequent filter changes on pumps.

Most antique tractors dont run an electric fuel pump like modern automobiles. Ive ran it for years in antique tractors, as long as the tank is clean to begin with, its not much out of the ordinary than gasoline as far as plugging up filters. You do use more of it, that is true. Modern day auto engines have stepped up their compression ratios to handle ethanol's high octane potential, and the tractors can step up to this technology with little expence to do the conversion. Low compression engine can run a more potent ethanol/gasoline mixture than E10, and alot see a good power increase in their tractor engines by fine tuning the mixture to their particular application. If ita a strictly a puller, how long does one run at an event?? Not long enough to really record a significant difference in "Milage" or in our case, we might use a quart to a quart and a half per run. But they aint stock either,,
