Early 580CK trans failure

A discussion recently here mentioned a failure in the shuttle? trans? in a certain early 580ck bh with parts to fix NLA. Friend asked me to check out one that is for sale. So my question is: What model can have this problem, how to spot which model it would be, especially if the model tag is missing. Looks to have a 33 hoe. Owner is deceased so history is not known and it has sat for long time. Thanks
 
I have a 1967 580CK with bad G159 engine thats a shuttle. It work good but leaked oil into rear axle section. It is in West Central TX.
