I've got a buddy down in Lindsay Texas that said he felt it around 10:50 last night and it lasted for 30 to 45 seconds.

I felt a jolt here (about 15 miles southeast of Wichita, KS) - wife claims she felt some shaking right before the jolt hit. At first, I thought it was another strong guest of wind.

Not strong enough to move the 8N parts around the workshop -- I"m the disaster out there!

Cheers

I will be the negative Nelly for a line or two, but wonder if this is a warning earthquake for the New Madrid fault line. That fault line is due for a strong quake, and it had several in 1811-12; the MS River flowed backwards for about a week.

Just saying.

I am about 30 miles from the town of New Madrid and the only time it is ever brought up around here is when we have one somewhere else. We will get a small one around her once in a while. The big one has been predicted for a long time. Just hope it keeps on holding off. Big one would reach alot of people in several states. Bob

90 miles away, shook the cabin pretty good. thought my dog was moving behind the couch until I heard the pots and pans rattling, pretty strange feeling having the ground move under you.

I am near Branson, Mo. and we felt it pretty good here. We could hear the walls popping and cracking. The floor felt like being on the lake in a boat. Made the photos on the walls move back and forth and the leaves on some house plants were moving like in a gentle breeze. Pretty weird feeling. Lasted about 30 seconds.

that was a pretty big one,I'm down near blanchard and i was surprised it went on so long.generally just a small shake and its done, but that one lasted long enough for me to throw my pants on and check on the grandkids.they never even woke up.
