Edison Splitdorf Magneto Firing Order

TRYING TO FIND OUT THE FIRING ORDER OF THE EDISON SPLITDORF MAGNETO FOR THE F124 CONTINENTAL ENGINE ? ANYONE KNOW BY CHANCE ?

YES I KNOW THE FIRING ORDER OF THE ENGINE. I NEED THE FIRING ORDER OF THE MAGNETO AS FAR AS THE MAGNETO GOES AT THE CAP ON WHERE TO PUT THE PLUG WIRES IN THE MAGNETO ? THANKS

the mag does not determine the firing order, the same mag can be used on a 1342 system as on a 1243 system, where you put the wires determines the firing order.

MOST MAGS FIRE FROM HOLE TO HOLE TO HOLE IN A CLOCKWISE DIRECTION.THEY DON'T SKIP AROUND !!!!!!!FIRE THE MAG ON A HOLE, BACK IT UP TILL IT IS READY TO FIRE AGAIN ON THE SAME HOLE. FIND TDC ON NUMBER ONE CYLINDER ON COMPRESSION AND STICK A WIRE IN THAT HOLE THAT IS READY TO FIRE AND PUT IT ON NUMBER ONE PLUG, GO TO THE NEXT HOLE AND PLUG THE WIRE IN FOR THE NEXT CYL IN THE FIRING ORDER ETC-ETC. MAGS DON'T HAVE A FIRING ORDER EXCEPT IN A 1234 CIRCULAR ROTATION, TOM WAS EXACTLY RIGHT IN WHAT HE TOLD YOU!!!!!!!!!!!!

I have been know to be guilty of oversimplification and in this case (no pun intended)I know it's true.
I'm working on a VC myself and I just hope I have it timed correctly. It has a Fairbanks magneto that is timed on "4" instead of "1".

You need to bring No1 piston to TDC on the compression stroke and then look at the rotor to see where its pointing. That's where your No1 plug wire should be on the cap and if the rotor turns CW your other wires need to be installed in the firing order with No3 next & then No4 and then No2. You install the wires in the firing order not in numerical order. Hal

Just WAY OT, for entertainment try timing and FMJ on a V4 Wisconsin, firing order is 1,3,4,2 but because of the crank arrangement 270 between throws. the wires jump all over the place, only one in the right place is no.1.
