I have a Ford 600 rebuild going back together....I never had this tractor running before but the engine would fire on ether when I first rec'd it so I trust that the electrical system was functional. .
I removed the wiring harness a while back and have good pictures and sketches of what terminals go where....I do have a question about the key and light switch.
Is it expected to have an ignition key such that is would be turned by the operator with a right hand? This switch is broken so I think anything will work, even a toggle switch as I think it just lets current through.
There is another switch at the left hand, but I think that would be lights....even though no wires go to it at this time.
Does this sound right? I've got quite a cobble mess but if the system works then I'd rather not buy a new harness at this time. Thanks in advance, moday
