Hi everyone, Got an OMC 1700 skid steer last year and it was time to revamp the cooling system. Im going to try and get an aftermarket tractor radiator and make new mounts to mount it because I cant find a replacement for the original but I also need to know the engine model so I can try and look up a water pump for it. The manual says its a four-cylinder Ford diesel but doesnt go into any specifics. Any help would be appreciated.

The 212, 236 and 248 engines are all part of the same family.

The engine numbers should be stamped in one of a few spots depending on the year. Right side, rear just above tappet cover, right side front just above alternator or left side front near injection pump.

I think I might make misidentified it at first.
212, 236 and 248s have the exhaust and intake on the same side of the head.
The 203 has the intake on the right and exhaust on the left like yours.
