friend had a 50 block with a 40 crank, I think it was 298ci. It made around 85hp at rated speed.

if you can't get 300 horse from a 339 with a cf head , your doing something wrong.there is a few here in eastern ohio,i wouldn't be afraid to run against anything,in a stock manifold class.

Not stepping on anybodys toes.but somethings wrong with your 262.i pull a 50 up to 9500 in second gear with 16x38 motor has never dropped below 2300 rpm.has something happend to your gov?

sounds like you need to come pull on some black South Dakota dirt with a sled like to Hotfoot.

WE have some good tracks in s.c and g.a. red clay 300 to 450 feet u dont dig holes. u leave black marks.seen many a good tractor loaded back on the trailer with a forklift.busted hubs .and rear ends. but we pull up to 16000. with 560/s

Blackhawk, I've yet to see (Carolina or VA) red dirt with 1/2 the bite as the stuff up north. Up there I couldn't keep my front end down until 4000# and even then it was questionable, down here I can run 3250# and the front end will skip along the ground like it should. I think the chains might be a little longer down here as well, which would rob downforce and tend to keep the nose down.

Leaving black marks doesn't make it a good track, it makes it a hard track.

339 herc motors have crossflow heads and they are illegal cant run those in east tenn beef farmer have to try to cheat someother way maybe a turbo on ur 560 would help
