I have been reading some of these posts lately I believe that some of you might want to give Josh Schlagenhauf a call I hear he can build a mean tractor.

I recon if a individual hires another individual to change his motor oil . He should as well hire a individual to build and mechanic on his tractor as well.

One of my pet peeves also Mitch, but it's fun buttin heads with the deep checkbooks---mail order engines types of pullers. mEl.

So the guy who has no equipment or know how to build his own engine shouldnt have one? The guy who owns all the equipment and the know how shouldnt use it to make a living building engines for pulling tractors? Starting to sound like a religion of some kind. First Church of build your own? Every body else is gonna burn in he$$

i bought one of those mean engines.
darndest thing happened, when i started it.... butterfiles flew out the exhaust.
go figure

Well Mel, it looks like I should not get too technical . "Technical" appears for most to be, should I buy this one or that one. It has been interesting for me to watch this forum . A couple of years ago the rod argument was that a long rod gave leverage providing torque . Most now know its the cranks stroke that is the lever creating torque. Then it grew into explanations of angular movement as the rod goes through the stroke, creating different piston speeds at a given degree crank angle . Who knows, 10 years from now, they may all build engines instead of buying them.

Boy Mitch, I think I touched a nerve, kinda like a dentist when he gets to close to one with his drill, OUCH. mEl (my name)

When you find their last nerve let me know . Has Dave called you threatening yet?

Is Josh the owner of Fat Jesus Motors. Is he about done with yours JLO heard he been working hard on it. Have you found your pigs in all that straw yet.LOL

that might be so on other engines but the moline U that i had with the long rod and stock stroke had more torgue than you would ever need. it would spin a pair of 18.4x38 v-cuts all day long in 3rd gear at 8.3 mph. never stalled it out when i had it. a 403 with the long rod has alot of torgue and if you dont work the throttle right it will spin out with you quick.

Its funny to see how many have no clue! Way to start an argument JLO. Funny thing nothing was said when I was with Al Collins and Josh Schlagenhauf yesterday.
