F3 Curtain Over Raddle

Should the curtain over the raddle chain be in place while running corn or soybeans? I can't find anything about it in the manual.

Thanks

You don't have to take the curtain out for corn. It can be swung up and held in the raised position by inserting a long bolt through a hole in each side of the machine with a nut on both sides to hold the curtain in the raised position.

I have the canvas curtain and the steel "swinging" curtain installed in my K for corn. Is the steel curtain what you are referring to as the cob shield?

No,

The cob shield bolts to the sides of the separater, is roughly 6 or 7" wide and is mounted below the raddle chain driveshaft. Keeps the cobs from following that chain back down in the hole.

Leave that steel curtain in for corn and it will end up looking like a pretzel. :>)
