Just finished restoring my granfathers 1956 f40 who bought it new in "57. I spent almost 2yrs. of spare time restoring it to as close original as I could.

Jason, she looks sweet! Very, very nice. It's all very neat, even the background looks good. It would make a great pin-up poster for the shed.

Hmmm...now maybe I should go out and degrease and wash the Fergy.......and sand back the paint and.......
 
It really looks good. I hope you can bring it to a show or two.

Are those rear wheel weights?

George, yes those are rear wheel weights. They were on the tractor when it was bought new. I have asked around many times about them, if they were ferguson weights or an aftermarket weight of that time but no one seems to know. However they are cast to fit exactly over the ferguson wheel.
 
That sure enough looks like 2 years work!! Beautiful. It want to get one of those one day. They seem to be hard to find around here.
