I have a 8n front mount that threw the fan belt. When I bought the tractor I was given a new belt for it, the belt says new holland part number86520008, when I try the new holland web site It does not recognise that part nuumber. What I need to know is this the right belt.? I do not have the tractor home and it also has a front end loader on it,I want to have the right parts with me when I get to where the tractor is.Has anyone got an idea about a cross over number? Thank you Ed

i have a 9N engine and an 8N tractor with a 12 volt system and I took mine to NAPA and asked them to come close to the torn up one. They did great!

This Ford tractor fan belt fits 9N and 2N tractors. Replaces 9N8620, 86520008.

Apparently I am not allowed to post the link.

is it a 12 volt conversion or 6 volt.
new holland part number 86520008 it should be 07 new holland part number 86520007 or gates 39 or tsc 0237770 these will work fine for your tractor

I'm moving to SC. The NAPA around here can't tell a spark plug from an exhaust stud. Seriously. I gave them their own part number for the stud; the kid said it was a plug. The manager had to sort it out. I wouldn't waste my time taking them an old belt! You're very fortunate.

Bruce,
You must not be in the right part of Virginia. Napa in Toano (VA) is probably one of, if not THE best parts store I have ever been in. Staff is knowledgeable on just about anything, and a couple of them are into tractors. I walked in there on Saturday looking for something to rig the exhaust on my newly purchased 8N, and the manager walked out of the warehouse with the complete exhaust system and the special clamp in the other hand. Gotta love when they have parts in stock for a 50+ year old tractor. Scary thing was that he didn't have to look up any numbers for this, LOL. And they are really good about finding or helping find just about any crazy obscure thing for whatever you're fabricating...

Anyway, it is hard to find a "good" parts store. Glad I have one around the corner!

OMG! I drove past it two weeks ago! I'm in Hanover Co. Too bad it's 40 miles from here. The one in Mechanicsville is the worst one I have ever been in.

Wow, small world! Hanover, eh? I just bought my tractor from a fellow near Montpelier about 2 weeks ago. Was the 1200 dollar one on richmond craigslist (did you see it)? My brother thinks I stole it, LOL.

It is too bad you are 40 miles away. Bill, Ginnie, and the crew there at the Toano store are great people.
