How rare is a farmall 130 hi crop. I know there was 9000+ produced. Also attaching a picture of one I am thinking about buying. What is it worth. Hasn't run in about 4 years. Owner says motor is not stuck. Tires in fair shape.

I think it is worth 200 more than a similar Super A or 1XX in similar condition in your area. They can very from 1000$ to 2500$ based on where they are. They are great cultivator tractors, not bush hog, tillage, or mower tractors because they had few mounted attachments that allowed for the height other than planting and cultivation. If there are attachments, get them as well because they might be difficult to find. (opinion) If the oil is clean and there is no green coolant if you loosen the drain plug in the oil pan, I would say look at local transactions and make a judgement. Jim

Thanks, he has a set of cultivators. He is asking 5600 for tractor and cultivators. I was thinking 2000~2500 for both.
Well I think your range is more realistic. They do not have live PTO. The Hydraulics are built in (but can be modified for remote cylinders) but not high capacity in pressure or volume. If you "need" the tractor negotiate. if not make your offer based on your own level of happy. Jim

I figured it was kinda special and fairly hard to find. I would hate to put that much money in a non running tractor. Too many questions such as do brakes work, does clutch work, transmission work without jumping out of gear, does transmission and rear end roar, etc.

I guess I'm to cheap for this high finance equipment. I would not give the 1500 for all of it. I saw 2 M's sell this week in the 1500 price range and that is to much for me. Both looked pretty nice in the pictures and knowing one of the families that one was probably putting out a bit more than the original figures.

$1500 isn't worth as much as it used to be.

Everything you mentioned are simple fixes..... We rarely buy a running tractor. It's part of the fun.

Can't even begin to compare an M to this high crop ....... that's not even apples to oranges. ..... 😉

If the motor ain't stuck, and it's a full set of cultivators, decent tires, not running it would bring $4000+ in Alabama. A bit rare around here. He will eventually find the guy at $5000+.
Whut he said, I would think $3500 for a non runner, its eye candy to a a collector. I think he has it priced as a runner but there is a collector out there with $$$ that will scoop it up. Those offset Farmalls are part of the landscape in my hood they fetch good money. There are folks that think the 130 in that series is the best of the bunch then add in the appeal of a high crop the price jumps.

I agree, the 130-140 demand good money in my area and they are not high crops. I really like M's, but they just don't have the value. SM still brings decent $$$$.

I was at a tractor/equipment /parts junkyard in Georgetown, Ohio recently looking for a manure bucket to modify to fit my loader. The owner, who is in ill health, had 2-3 high crops,130s or 140s, sitting there, among several other tractors. They all looked like they had sat for 10 years, sinking into the ground. He says he wants to sell to finance his old age, but he is wanting too much for anything he has to get a buyer. He said, sorta sheepishly, that the tractors all ran when he bought them, but who knows now. I found a manure bucket I wanted, but it was on a loader tractor, and he would not separate. It's a shame because it's all going to rot before it sells. Mark.
