farmall 350 bore?

what would it take to put a 4" bore in a 350 block? i'm sure it will need to be sleeved.the thinnest sleeve i can find is from darton. it is .093 thick and 4.180 o.d. this will get close to the head studs, will they live?will the sleeves need to be welded in?if i'm going to all this trouble should i go bigger and by how much?i read through the archives and someone said they run one at 4.125?is this possible? the block will be filled, have a 6" stroke and ported head.the rpms will stay under 2000.

I have a 350 block that was bored way out and sleeves made and set in. sitting at 3.95 bore, and the side thickness is .180+ thick. Id take 300 for it. Would have to be fully hard blocked and run water thru the head only for this one. I can try to get some pictures of it, but it would show ya what you would have to go thru. Yep, some head stud interference, If you can, keep the bore under 4 inch and have less problems down the road. ChadS

there shouldn't be any head stud interference and it would not have to be fully hard blocked if done properly. seen bigger bores(much bigger) that still run water. not picking, just telling what ive seen and know.
